Downtown YMCA
Goals
- To recruit players within the membership of the
Downtown YMCA (DTY)
- To recruit racquetball players
for DTY membership
- To help local youth learn court sports and sportsmanship
- To provide a place for
out-of-town players to get a game
Operation Information
- The address of the DTY is 1600 Louisiana, Houston, TX 77002. The DTY is between Pease and Leeland.
- The Fitness Center Desk telephone number is 713-758-9229;
the general telephone number is 713-659-8501.
- The DTY is open 7 seven a week
except for holidays
- Hours of operation are:
- Monday through Friday: 5:00
AM to 10:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00
to 6:00 PM
- Sunday: 10:00
AM to 6:00 PM

- 17 courts available for play
- 10 courts have glass back walls
- 3 of the 10 have glass
sidewalls

- Beginner instruction every
Tuesday evening at 6:15 PM on court 9
- AmPro instructors

Guest Information
- Guests can contact a current
DTY member to be a free guest during the week only. There is a weekend guest fee of $10.00
per day.
- The Hyatt Regency hotel, the
Doubletree hotel and the Crowne Plaza hotel concierges have vouchers
for use at the DTY. Information

- Other guests must pay a fee of
$10.00 per day that includes in and out privileges for the day
