Metro Routes

The Houston Metro offers both bus service and light-rail service.  

The following link will allow you to view the bus and/or light-rail routes using Adobe Acrobat Reader.  You will be able to print the route map.

To get a MetroRail, bus or trolley map:

  1. Select Schedule & Maps under METRO Services
  2. Select Schedules & Maps
  3. Select the MetroRail, bus route

Once the route Information has appeared in Adobe Acrobat Reader print any or all pages printed you may elect to do that.  You may want to print the entire schedule for the bus route including the route map and time schedule.  Some bus schedules are available in the lobby as you enter the DTY.

There is Metro bus service to and from both airports (Bush Intercontinental and Hobby).  Bush Intercontinental Airport is North of the downtown Houston area and Hobby Airport is to the South.  Hobby Airport serves several major airline commuter airlines and Southwest Airlines.  Bush Intercontinental Airport serves all major domestic and foreign airlines, several commuter airlines and Southwest Airlines.  The bus route is the 101, Airport Express.  There is a bus only between Bush Intercontinental Airport and downtown Houston; route 102, Bush IAH Express.  The normal fare for the bus service is either $1.00 or $1.50.  Have exact fare available because the driver cannot make change.  For a schedule, follow the instructions above except select the route 101 schedule.  

The route from Hobby Airport will let you off on Louisiana Street in front of or within a block of the DTY and/or the Hyatt Regency Hotel.  The route from Bush Airport will let you off on Smith Street, which is behind the DTY and/or the Hyatt Regency Hotel.  You may also try to get a printed route schedule at either the DTY and/or the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
